Project Manager

Purpose

In your role as Project Manager you’ll be responsible for fostering creative thinking as you facilitate requirements gathering, specification development, and production teams from project inception to successful delivery, meeting the objectives of all stakeholders.

You’ll be expected to build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem solving.

Must haves

  • University degree or diploma business, marketing, communication, or a related discipline
  • One or more professional certification desired: PMP, Scrum Master, Scrum Professional, Agile Coaching
  • 5-7 years of project management experience in a digital agency managing complex multi-phased technology/web projects in a client-facing role
  • Experience managing ecommerce, digital marketing campaigns, digital platform or content management, Java/ .Net projects, mobile applications, and social media
  • A strong functional (not necessarily technical) understanding of HTML/HTML5, CSS, application development platforms and tools, WordPress, CMS, Mobile
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Google Analytics, Budget/ Time tracking tools; Quality Assurance/ Issue tracking tools, MS Project, and Basecamp or JIRA
  • Leadership skills, strong organizational skills, strong verbal/ written communication skills including negotiation skills
  • Impeccable attention to detail
  • Ability to understand technical jargon and communicate with both technical and non-technical team members
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Risk management, time management, scope management, and change management
  • Professionalism, punctuality, respect, empathy
  • Strong desire to learn and facilitate knowledge sharing within the department, project teams and the company

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the clients to ensure stellar delivery and strategic growth of the account
  • Lead our client’s adoption of agile/scrum practices
  • Facilitate scrum rituals (grooming, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives)
  • Maintain and exceed our current business volume by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with clients
  • Gather and interpret project requirements in order to deploy resources in the most efficient and cost effective manner
  • Foster internal and external communication, improving transparency, and information sharing about project expectations, budgets, stakeholder needs, timelines, etc.
  • Inspire and collaborate by liaising with clients and internal teams to aid in the completion of projects. Identify risks and develop appropriate mitigation plans over the project lifecycle
  • Manage schedules, budgets, and review work completed by other departments
  • Manage project revenue, overage and reporting at the account level, oversight of financial baseline and its impacts
  • Manage projects in alignment with ecentricarts' project process best practices
  • Facilitate and/or lead company-wide development initiatives using various channels– mentoring, lunch and learns, and collaboration
