HR Consultant

In the role of HR Consultant, you’ll join us at ecentricarts bi-weekly for our open-door time.  This will be a time for managers and staff to talk about personal career growth or a challenge they are experiencing in or outside of work. It’s really whatever the individual needs.

Purpose

Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, you’ll spend most of your time concentrated on ecentricarts employee satisfaction rating – we have a feedback model we use quarterly. You may also be asked to facilitate meetings with the management team, consult on recruitment, and help implement human resource processes outside of recruiting including performance management, employee relations, leave administration, etc.

Must haves

  • Successful completion of a University degree preferable with a HR focus; a minimum of 3 years’ experience in a professional HR role (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
    • CHRP designation, or desire to obtain such certification, is preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing applications, specifically Word and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communications
  • Proven success in developing and executing proactive, innovative and cost-effective sourcing of prospective candidates
  • Strong time management skills and flexibility
  • Good judgment, decision-making, organizational, problem solving and analytical skills are required to analyze issues
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, diplomacy, sensitivity and demonstrated professionalism, and ability to handle critical, sensitive operational situations, and to provide effective advice to internal stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Support Department Leads as they develop, grow, and maintain a candidate talent pool
  • Serve as subject matter expert on recruiting trends, networking avenues and development of recruitment strategies
  • Research solutions, advise employees and conduct research on HR related projects
  • Prepare documents and reports, and communicate effectively with a broad range of individuals
  • Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, be a trusted advisor
  • Foster a creative and collaborative work environment
  • Additional tasks may include:
    • Facilitating on-boarding for new employees
      • Manage employee orientation, training and development
    • Assist department leads with performance management and improvement plans
    • Participate in, record and track exit interview data
    • Organizational and space planning
    • Employee relations
    • Company employee communications Organization development
    • Policy development and documentation
    • Other duties as assigned
